A SESSION THAT FEELS LIKE SUMMER LOVE

An afternoon spent on the lake that reminds me of those teenage, summer fling movies.

Hannah, Will, and I have kind of unknowingly started this tradition of shooting together each January. And each time we’ve done it, it’s been magical.

This time around, I was experimenting. With light, posing, atmosphere, composition. I shot through the window and had them climb on the counter. I frequently filled the silence with “let’s just try this-,” and brought in warmth in the editing. These all really do have that nostalgic feeling of revisiting your favorite little summer house on the lake year by year.
