A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME…

INSPIRED BY SUNSETS, NOSTALGIA, AND MOST OF ALL — YOU.

I love madly in details.

I love the smell of vanilla candles and the air when it’s crisp just before a fall rainstorm. I love the way that the sky turns all sorts of orange and pink when the sun’s going down. I’ll spend an hour at the store just to make sure I find you the perfect birthday card, and then I’ll probably end up buying two anyways. I’m fascinated by how the waves in the ocean are never ending and if you were to ask what inspires me, I’d say storytelling in all of its many different art forms.

Photos just so happen to be my favorite.

Because when I look through photos I remember that day and all the little things about it. What we were doing just before, how I felt, who I was with, what I was drinking, what we were laughing about, where we were going, how the room smelled. Simply put, photos are moments frozen in time and I think that is the coolest thing.

I spend a lot of my time reminiscing on the best memories, ready to create more.

It’s why I love what I do.

My hope is that my work creates that sense of nostalgia for you. The kind of feeling you wanna relive over and over again- front of the fridge, living room wall worthy.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Winter. Because the lights are a little more twinkly and I get to wear cozy sweaters. Disney World. Because it’s magical and just a damn good time. Chocolate cake. Because it’s homemade. Trips to 30A, FL. Because they’re my favorite sunsets. Taylor Swift. Because her music is raw and real and beautiful. Texas Roadhouse. Because their rolls are unmatched. Christmas. Because it’s absolutely gorgeous everywhere and the vibes are so good. Blue. Because it’s calming.

THE STORY OF KHP

I remember always being so interested in creative expression. Whether it was watching cake competition shows with a sketchbook full of wedding cake ideas or spending all of my free time in drum line during high school, the many different forms of art have always consumed me. It's no surprise that my first little digital camera never left my sight! I went to college for a bit but eventually decided that wasn't for me, always keeping photography on the back burner. Somewhere around 2019, my mom suggested taking it more seriously and I kinda thought.. "yeah, why not." After losing two part time jobs just before the pandemic, I was pretty much thrown into being full time. That was the summer of 2020. I couldn't be more grateful for how it all played out because it led me here. <3

LOVE NOTES

“OK I CANNOT STOP LOOKING AT THEM! THE WAY THEY PERFECTLY TELL THE STORY OF HOW THE DAY WENT AND THE NIGHT JUST KEPT GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. IT’S EVERYTHING!”
