An invitation to turn someday into something real.
Make It Happen is a full-day creative experience led by Kaitlin Hays and Steph Marie, created for the ideas you're ready to stop saving for someday. We’re pulling back the curtain on our own creative processes, sharing not only what we’ve curated, but how we found our way there.
One day. Two speakers. A room full of what if's.

Make it Happen is a workshop i dreamt up after being asked "how do you do it" more times than i can count. I'm deeply passionate about creating spaces where artists can freely experiment, play, and discover, so i wanted to pull back the curtain on what that looks like.
I've designed a creative workroom where we'll dive into the creative process behind world building and curating concepts, along with fostering community within these experiences.
In addition, Steph Marie will be in attendance to share her perspective on the logistical side of things. From planning to communication and problem solving, Steph will talk us through how these important pieces can leave us more room for creativity.

I've woven interactive experiences throughout the workroom where we'll explore ideas beyond inspiration and play with the people, places, and details that bring them to life.

+ casting call: imagination in practice
My hope is for you to feel like you're stepping into a creative director's office mid-production.
Each attendee will also be taking home pieces from this experience as a reminder of what we explored.
IN THE WORKROOM
An environment fueled by conversation.
Throughout this experience, attendees are invited to ask questions as they come up, bounce ideas off one another, and pick our brains on ideas they've been stuck on. With a limited enrollment of 15 seats, space for collaboration and brainstorming is at the forefront.
IN GOOD COMPANY
We'll take a break somewhere in the middle to gather around the table for lunch together. Good food, good company, and room to let the conversations keep going before we jump back in.

With years of experience creating and hosting experiences of her own, Steph brings an incredible perspective to the part of creativity we don't always see: the planning, problem solving, and thoughtful logistics that take an idea from "this would be so cool" to "we're actually doing this."

For years, Kaitlin has been dreaming up and hosting creative experiences for photographers, turning tiny sparks of inspiration into fully realized worlds. Her work is rooted in curiosity, storytelling, and a belief that sometimes the best ideas are the ones you simply can't leave alone. For Make It Happen, she's pulling back the curtain on the creative process behind it all, from finding the first spark of an idea to building the people, places, and details around it.
